This is a series of drawings based on Lucio Fulci’s Spaghetti Western Four of the Apocalypse. I was interested in how the American West would be portrayed by a director known for his horror films. His fascinating film seems to depart from the puritanical influences informing most Westerns made in Hollywood through the depiction of nudity and cannibalism. A favorite detail of mine is that Fulci gives the hero an unusually vain prized possession: a beauty kit.
